Hi, I’m Patricia.

I design brands, patterns, illustrations and children’s books with warmth and a lot of colour. If it makes someone smile, I’m doing it right.

A bit about me

I grew up drawing on every surface I could find, studied design in Lisbon (placeholder) and have spent ten years making brands, patterns, illustrations and picture books for small businesses, publishers and families.

I like work that feels handmade and kind. Most days you’ll find me at the drawing table with a cup of tea and far too many markers.

The longer story

About me

I was born in the north of Portugal (placeholder) and spent most of my childhood copying the pictures in the books my grandmother kept on the lowest shelf. I studied communication design in Lisbon (placeholder) and went on to a small branding studio, where I learnt that a good logo is mostly a lot of bad ones thrown away.

Since 2016 I have worked on my own, mostly for independent publishers, bakeries, textile makers and families who want a book of their own. Hand lettering and pattern are the two things I come back to no matter the brief.

When I am not at the drawing table I am probably swimming, baking bread that the dragon would be proud of, or hunting second-hand picture books in the market.
